Maureen is a Strategy Director on the Creative services team, where she guides clients in the discovery process and helps them combine their policy goals and messaging with the power of brilliant creative design.

Prior to joining the HPS team, she worked for the two largest school districts in Colorado (Denver and Jefferson County), each serving over 85,000 students and 15,000 employees. In those roles, Maureen managed strategic and policy communications on high-profile issues, including educator pay, board decisions, and pedagogical change. Before that, Maureen spent five years working in public policy engagement, bringing together hundreds of legislators, philanthropists, and thought leaders to discuss and deliberate national and statewide policy issues.

Hailing from the great state of Oregon, Maureen stays true to her Pacific Northwest roots, as you can often find her in the woods somewhere. She is an avid mountain biker, distance runner, and skier and spreads her love of the outdoors by coaching youth girls in mountain biking and running.

Maureen earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Puget Sound and later a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado.
