Biography

Abigail Porterfield is an associate at Hamilton Place Strategies, where she serves a diverse set of clients at the intersection of strategic communications and policy.

Prior to joining HPS, Abigail held roles in marketing, consulting, and government affairs. She spent her 2020 summer learning virtually from VMLY&R about all aspects of ad agency work, including brand strategy, social media marketing, and user experience design. Before then, Abigail interned at AbleVets, LLC, where she worked in government contracting. She focused on supporting veterans and their families with digital healthcare solutions. She also served as a Finance Intern for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, immersing herself in the world of political campaigns and gaining professional event planning experience.

Originally from Reston, Virginia, Abigail graduated summa cum laude from Villanova University with an Honors BBA in Marketing and Economics. During her time at Villanova, she also spent three months at the University of Cambridge studying as part of an Honors Politics, Philosophy, and Economics program.
