Rustin Finkler is a director at Hamilton Place Strategies, where he leads on strategic, corporate, and crisis communications, as well as public policy issues, for clients in the financial services sector.

Prior to joining HPS, Rustin worked at Village Capital, the largest supporter of impact-driven seed-stage startups in the world, where he first provided strategic guidance to education and health startups participating in the organization’s accelerator programs and then ran all programmatic and executive communications. Prior to his time at Village Capital, Rustin taught 6th and 7th Grade Social Studies at Yorkville East Middle School in New York City.

Originally from Orlando, FL, Rustin holds a bachelor’s degree in education from New York University and a master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University. Rustin currently lives in Virginia with his wife and daughters.
