Maura McDonough is a director at Hamilton Place Strategies, where she leads on strategic, corporate, and crisis communications for clients across a variety of sectors. 

Prior to HPS, Maura worked at Edelman in their Sacramento-based corporate reputation and public affairs practice, serving clients on issues related to health, environmental sustainability, and workforce development. Maura also worked at Dewey Square Group (DSG), a public affairs firm focused on grassroots mobilization. At DSG, Maura worked on campaigns involving small business, healthcare, technology, and education. Before joining DSG, Maura interned for Congressman Stephen F. Lynch in his Washington, D.C. office, supporting the congressman’s work on the House Committee on Financial Services. 

Originally from Quincy, MA, Maura graduated from Georgetown University, where she studied government and sociology.
