Biography

Bryan DeAngelis is a partner at Hamilton Place Strategies, where he provides strategic counsel to clients based on 15 years of experience working at the intersection of government, politics, and business. His expertise lies in crisis and issue management, corporate reputation, stakeholder persuasion, and public policy.

Prior to joining HPS, Bryan was a senior director for the public affairs firm, Kivvit, where he advised Fortune 500 companies, major consumer brands, trade associations, and non-profits. He was a member of the firm’s issue management, energy, and higher education practices and co-led the sports and entertainment practice.

Bryan has been a trusted advisor to members of Congress and Democratic candidates throughout his career. He previously served as communications director and chief spokesperson for Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT). In this role, Bryan worked closely with the White House, congressional leadership, and public interest groups to develop and execute an effective media strategy across several national issues, including the 2008 financial crisis, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, the Affordable Care Act, and the Senator’s work on the Foreign Relations Committee.

Bryan has also served as a communications staffer for both Hillary Clinton’s and Senator Dodd’s 2008 presidential campaigns. He began his career in Massachusetts working for then-Congressman Martin Meehan and on former Massachusetts Attorney General Tom Reilly’s gubernatorial campaign.

Bryan is a native of Massachusetts and holds degrees in economics and political science from Boston College. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Shade Foundation of America and currently lives in Virginia with his wife and three children.
