HPS Welcomes Christina Pearson as Managing Director

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Hamilton Place Strategies (HPS) is proud to announce veteran public affairs strategist Christina Pearson has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a managing director.

Pearson brings to HPS her deep experience working on some of the most consequential technology and healthcare debates of the last two decades.

For nearly a decade before joining HPS, Pearson directed communications for Microsoft’s government and public policy initiatives as senior director of public affairs. In that role, she elevated the voice of the company and its executives on key technology, education, and privacy issues, integrating new technologies and data-driven messaging to build support for and showcase the tangible benefits of smart policies in these areas.

Prior to Microsoft, Pearson served as Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). There she led communications across HHS’s 11 agencies, including campaigns to enroll millions of seniors in the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit, programs to bring greater awareness to chronic disease prevention, and efforts to improve international emergency preparedness for pandemics.

Pearson previously engaged at the forefront of healthcare policy debates as a spokesperson for the American Hospital Association. She worked on healthcare and finance issues as deputy communications director at the Senate Finance Committee, where she also supported tax policy and other key financial matters, including the creation and deployment of the Roth IRA. Pearson also earned agency experience working as a senior advisor at public relations firm Fleishman-Hillard.
