HPS Names New Partner and Digital Media Director

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Hamilton Place Strategies announced that Matt McDonald has joined the firm as Partner and Noah Chestnut has been hired as Director of Digital Media.

Matt McDonald is a seasoned counselor with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. He most recently worked for McKinsey & Company in their New York and Washington offices where he advised corporate, financial, and media executives.

Matt previously served as a senior advisor to Senator John McCain during the 2008 presidential campaign and in a similar capacity for Governor Schwarzenegger’s reelection campaign.ᅠ He also served President George W. Bush as Associate Communications Director in the White House with responsibility for economic issues and as the Director of Rapid Response for the President’s 2004 reelection campaign.ᅠᅠ He holds an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and an undergraduate degree in economics from Dartmouth College.

Noah Chestnut most recently worked as Director for Digital Media at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies where he managed the Foundation’s digital strategy and oversaw an overhaul of its digital properties.ᅠ He received an undergraduate degree in communications from Northwestern University and a graduate degree in public diplomacy from the University of Southern California.
