Rebecca Buck is a senior director at Hamilton Place Strategies, where she brings a decade of experience and relationships as a top political reporter to advise clients on strategic communications and media relations in an increasingly complex political landscape.
Rebecca comes to HPS from CNN, where she crisscrossed the country covering the 2020 presidential election and the 2018 midterm elections as an on-air political reporter. She also appeared on CNN as a political analyst during the 2016 presidential election, including as a regular contributor to “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer,” while breaking news as a national political reporter for RealClearPolitics. Prior to that, Rebecca worked as a political correspondent for the Washington Examiner, and helped establish BuzzFeed’s footprint in Washington as its first-ever congressional reporter. She got her start in Washington as a James Reston Reporting Fellow for The New York Times.
A native of San Diego, Rebecca graduated from the University of Missouri with degrees in journalism and political science. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and daughter.
