Isabela Velasco is an associate at Hamilton Place Strategies, where she assists a diverse set of clients with developing strategic communications and reaching policy objectives.
Prior to joining HPS, Isabela interned at Instiglio, a developmental consulting firm specialized in Results-Based Financing, where she assisted on the redesign of the financing mechanism for the public university system in Peru. Isabela was also part of the Tuck School of Business Paganucci Fellowship. As a fellow, she worked to help Peru Champs, an education NGO, analyze the viability of creating a self-sustaining revenue stream. Her findings were used to develop a business case for a recycling commercialization business. During her time at Dartmouth, Isabela served as a research assistant for the Economics department where she investigated the impacts of trade reforms in Latin America on current Latino economies.
Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Isabela graduated from Dartmouth College, where she studied Economics and Romance Languages.
